The Birth of the Ensemble

The Firebird Symphony and Chorus is a new organization that features a professional Chorus and Orchestra.  This organization will continue the legacy of Soprano Karen Joy Minish and John Goulart (Conductor) who have been promoting Symphonic Choral music in the Bow Valley (Banff, Canmore and Calgary).  The Legacy of Karen Joy Minish has birthed the creation of this new addition to the Calgary musical community.

Featuring The Calgary Children's Choir, Soprano Laura Brandt, Bass/Baritone Aaron Dimoff and Mezzo Courtney Murias.
This extremely popular work was described by Olin Downs as "one of the most fascinating and delightful choral works that the 20th century has produced".
